A countdown in the style of a retro flip clock: every digit sits on its own card, and the cards flip down as the seconds tick away. A thin bar under the cards shows how much time is left at a glance.
Set anything from a few seconds to 24 hours, press Start and go full screen. The cards are big enough to read from the back of a room, on a TV or on a second monitor. The page requests a screen wake lock where supported. Keep it visible and test the end chime with your device volume on; a sleeping or suspended device may delay the display or sound.
Ideas for using it
- Pomodoro and study sessions (25 minutes is one tap away)
- Event and party countdowns on a TV or projector
- Tests and timed activities in class
- Workouts, talks and meetings
How to use the timer
- Tap a time (or type your own, like 7, 2:30 or 1h 15m) and press Start.
- Use Full screen on a supported browser to show the timer on a projector, smartboard or TV. Check the actual display before relying on it.
- When the time is up, the timer shows Time’s up! and attempts to play a chime if sound is on. Keep the device awake and test the audio first. Reset prepares another round.

Add this flip clock timer to your website
Teachers can put it on a class website or Google Sites page: paste this free, ad-free embed code into a page that allows iframes. Full screen also depends on the host page and browser allowing it. Check the preview and adjust the iframe height in your site editor if it is clipped; test the published page before an activity.

Frequently asked questions
Can I show the flip clock timer full screen?
Yes. Press the full-screen button or the F key. The cards grow to fill the screen, with the website address small in the corner.
Does every card flip every second?
No. Like a real split-flap clock, only the digits that change flip: the last card flips every second, the minutes card once a minute.
Can I change the color?
The cards stay classic dark gray with white digits. The color you pick in Settings is used for the progress bar under the cards, and "Light background" switches the stage to white.
Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
The timer calculates the remaining time from an end time and can catch up after a delayed update. Browsers can throttle or suspend hidden pages, so an alarm may be delayed. Keep the timer visible and the device awake when timing matters; sleeping devices and closed tabs are not supported.
